I removed it and tryed manually forcing it and no go, still the newer CPU instructions.

The only way I could get the emulator installed was with your instructions due to how the emulator gets downloaded and installed. Too bad for me I have such an old system.

My comment is meant as a warning that older systems won't work due to the extended instruction sets that are not on Athalon 1800+ or older but are in the Athalon 64 and newer ( need to be able to do 64 bit instrusctions even if it's on a 32 bit operating system, it just needs those instructions available )Nybbler905https://www.blogger.com/profile/18137369214865614473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592842328445214071.post-21354622886455281732014-09-21T08:43:59.765-07:002014-09-21T08:43:59.765-07:00what emulator did you use ?what emulator did you use ?Teshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18319042868878674413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592842328445214071.post-70929388210721909372014-09-20T10:35:58.747-07:002014-09-20T10:35:58.747-07:00I did alot of digging in a Linux system to try and...I did alot of digging in a Linux system to try and get this to work, and discovered with the 2013 ( and newer ) that the host system needs to be running an Athalon 64 or better processor that can use a verry under documented instruction set. I folowed these ( and similar ) instructions and kept getting errors related to OpenGL not being on my system ( resolved ), not in the places that the emulator was looking ( resolved ) and finaly, the one I can't resolve with out upgrading the motherboard ( to use the Athalon 64 or newer ) instruction set. ( in terminal ) Running the emulator with the command "emulator @My-Android" (virtual device is My-Android and apears to be fine with all packages and kernel modules )

--- SIGILL (Illegal instruction) @ 0 (0) ---
+++ killed by SIGILL +++
Illegal instruction

Hopefuly someone stuck on this issue will find your wonderful guide and this adendum so they won't spend a week looking for the mysterious instruction and just get a newer motherboard to run it on.Nybbler905https://www.blogger.com/profile/18137369214865614473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592842328445214071.post-39991967496183145872013-11-19T13:19:15.554-08:002013-11-19T13:19:15.554-08:00did you open etc/udev/rules/51.android.rules in te...did you open etc/udev/rules/51.android.rules in terminal ?

1.
